Three Triangle players taken in the first round of the MLB Draft
The shortened MLB Draft's first round was televised on Wednesday night, and three Triangle players went in the first 27 picks. Patrick Bailey led the way for NC State at No. 13, while Duke's Bryce Jarvis became the highest pick in program history, going No. 18 to the Arizona Diamondbacks. UNC first baseman Aaron Sabato rounded out the trio, going No. 27 to the Minnesota Twins.
